Milo

Once upon a time, in the frisk heights of the Pirin mountains, two shepherds guard their sheep until suddenly the mountain turns itself over. The mountain had crushed and overwhelmed the two shepherds.

Burried in the darkness, they cry separated for the mountain to release them. But not a single stone moves and only some distant bells of their grazing sheep are heard.
After hours of exhausting calls, Milo, the younger one, dreams of taking his sheep deep into the forest where the mountain opens. It speaks to him: “Dear Milo, a lover griefs from morning till noon, but your mother griefs for life.’

Upon waking, Milo finds himself miraculously freed but inside a cave. He quenches his thirst with the water dripping down from the rock and starts to climb towards the exit. In the sunrays of the gaping opening he emerges and hears bells of sheep – not his own.

To his surprise he finds himself on the opposite side of the mountain and in the distance his beloved shepherd waves to him, sitting with a new born lamb on the lap on the steep mountain meadow.
