Departing

The path is right once it disappears. The hardest thing is, to do nothing at all, to let life flow, and to let go of deciding where to. In a nutshell on the river of life.

Process Information:
The canvas was sourced from Daisy’s childhood home, where a box with handwoven linen sheets made by his great-great-grandmother was found. Handstitched insignias marked the high crafting skills, and while multiple generations had saved them, it was unknown who slept in them, if anyone ever did as they seemed in such good condition, yet their life continued as artwork.

The artwork ‘Departing’ was painted in spring 2024 (May/June).
Size: 120 x 160 cm
Medium: Oil on canvas, mounted on stretcher frame
Varnish: 1 x Liquin varnish, 1 x natural sealing varnish (matte, removable with turpentine)

All artwork is archival quality, meaning the artwork withstands discolouration and the test of time. Certificate of Authenticity included. Delivery, framing and mounting services can be arranged.
